The Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, recently made headlines after he was spotted jamming to King Paluta’s hit song ‘Aseda’ in a bus.
The video, shared by the Vice President’s X account, captured Dr Bawumia, Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei-Mensah, and Dome-Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, singing an acapella version of the song with enthusiasm.
In the video, Dr Bawumia can be seen throwing his hand around to the rhythm of the song, while Sarah Adwoa Safo excitedly makes some dancing moves. Meanwhile, Simon Osei-Mensah and Chairman Wontumi were nodding and singing along with equal excitement. This impromptu jam session took place during Dr Bawumia’s Ashanti Region campaign tour.
This fun moment comes just a day after Dr Bawumia was captured dancing to Guru’s “Lapaz Toyota” hit song at his Youth Connect event.
The Vice President seems to enjoy engaging with music and having a good time while on his regional tours.
It’s always refreshing to see politicians letting loose and enjoying themselves, especially in the midst of rigorous campaign schedules. Dr Bawumia’s interactions with music and his energetic dance moves showcase a different side of him beyond his political persona.
