Renowned Ghanaian gospel artist Empress Gifty has recently opened up about her upbringing, revealing that she never knew her biological father.
In an exclusive interview on Channel One TV’s Entertainment and Lifestyle show Upside Down, co-hosted by Frema Adunyame and Nana Tuffour, Empress Gifty shared that her father, whose name is Andoh, passed away before she had the chance to establish a relationship with him.
Instead, she was raised by her stepfather, whom she expressed deep gratitude towards for his love and care.
Despite not having a personal connection with her late father, Empress Gifty is currently making waves with her latest song, “Watch Me.” The track, written by Highlife star Kuami Eugene, has garnered significant popularity among fans and music enthusiasts.
