Nigerian music sensation Davido has extended his congratulations to Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy for winning the Artiste of the Year award at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards ceremony.
In a heartfelt comment on one of Stonebwoy’s posts, Davido praised the Ghanaian musician and emphasized his undeniable talent and success. Stonebwoy, in response, expressed his gratitude to his supporters for their unwavering love and encouragement.
At the awards ceremony, held on Saturday, June 1, Stonebwoy emerged victorious in a competitive category that included artists like Black Sherif, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Nacee, and Sarkodie. In addition to the Artiste of the Year award, Stonebwoy also secured wins in five other categories: Best International Collaboration, Best Reggae/Dancehall Artist, Songwriter of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Dancehall Artiste.
This marks Stonebwoy’s second Artiste of the Year win, with his first occurring in 2015.
He now joins the ranks of rapper Sarkodie and the group VIP as one of the few artists to achieve this milestone in the history of the Ghana Music Awards.
