The Public Relations Officer of Table of Men, OB Nartey, has refuted claims that the group has abandoned Nacee by not actively promoting his nomination for Artiste of the Year at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

Table of Men, a group of gospel music executives and enthusiasts dedicated to promoting gospel music and its artists, has a history of supporting gospel artists nominated for the Artiste of the Year award at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards. They have campaigned for past winners such as Joe Mettle, Diana Hamilton, and Piesie Esther.

However, this year, there has been a noticeable absence of their usual campaign efforts for Nacee’s nomination, leading to speculation about the group’s involvement or lack thereof. In an interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, OB Nartey explained that the subdued promotion for Nacee was due to the artist’s apparent disinterest in winning the award.

“We have not stayed silent, but perhaps the artist himself has been quiet,” Nartey told host Kwame Dadzie. He mentioned that they had promoted Nacee on various media platforms and were hoping for more active participation from the artist in promoting his nomination.

Nartey emphasized the importance of Nacee’s enthusiasm and efforts in winning the award, citing the example of Piesie Esther’s previous nomination where she demonstrated great enthusiasm and excitement for the award, allowing the group to amplify their campaign efforts.

Nacee has been nominated alongside other talented artists such as Stonebwoy, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Black Sherif, and Sarkodie for the Artiste of the Year category. Additionally, he has received nominations in other categories including Gospel Song of the Year, Gospel Artiste of the Year, and Most Popular Song of the Year.

The 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards is scheduled to take place on June 1, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre. It remains to be seen if Nacee will step up his campaign efforts with the support of Table of Men to secure the coveted Artiste of the Year award.
