Solo artistes can always come together, compose music as a group – Wutah Kobby

Kobby, the talented artist who was once part of the popular music duo Wutah, recently shared the benefits of working as a music group in an interview with Graphic Showbiz.

He emphasized that being part of a music group allows for synergy, and diversity, and reduces the financial burden on individuals. Kobby also pointed out that even established solo artists can come together to collaborate on projects from time to time.

Drawing from his own experiences, Kobby cited the example of La Meme Gang, a group of solo artists who come together to create music before pursuing their individual careers.

He highlighted the advantage of collective effort in showcasing unique talents and creating magical music.

Speaking about the financial advantages of working as a group, Kobby mentioned that sharing costs and responsibilities can make things easier for everyone involved.

This collaborative approach allows artists to enhance their skills and produce creative and diverse music.

After gaining fame as Wutah and winning the Nescafe African Revelations in 2004, Kobby and his former partner Afriyie went their separate ways in 2010, only to reunite in 2017 for a few successful tracks.

Since then, they have pursued their solo careers with Kobby releasing hit songs like ‘Chio Chio’, ‘My Story’, ‘If I Get’, and ‘Sweet and Soar’.

Currently, Kobby has released a new song titled ‘Dollar Dollar’, showcasing his talent and versatility as a solo artist.
