Award-winning Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artist, Samini, has announced that he will be releasing a new album in 2025. The talented musician, who had a successful 2024, shared that he has been working on new material and is excited for fans to hear it.
In an interview with JoyNews’ Becky, Samini expressed his excitement about the upcoming album, stating, “I’ve been working on new material, and I have an album coming out in 2025.
Everything is ready, and we should have the album out before the second quarter.” He also mentioned that a single will be released before February to give fans a taste of what’s to come.
Samini, who began his music career in a church choir at the age of 14, has come a long way since then. His debut album, Dankwasere, released in 2004, topped local charts and earned him two Ghana Music Awards. The album featured the hit single “Linda.”
Throughout his career, Samini has shared the stage with renowned international artists such as Sean Paul, Akon, and Jay-Z, among others. He has also received international recognition, winning awards at events like the MOBO Awards and the Ghana Music Awards.
