Day one of the annual This is Ghana Exhibition kicked off with a bang at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly on August 31.
The event, organized by Channel One TV/Citi FM, showcased over 300 exhibitors ranging from local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), startups, research and manufacturing industries, home-grown businesses, and indigenous corporate bodies in Ghana.
One of the highlights of the fair was the presence of Ghana’s second Lady, Samira Bawumia, who graced the occasion with her elegance. However, stealing the show was the performance of the famous Indigenous band, Kwan Pa.
Led by the charismatic Hassan, the band treated the audience to a rich blend of Ghanaian sounds, featuring their signature palm wine music that they have been synonymous with for the past five years. The energetic performance had attendees moving and grooving to the infectious beats.
Kwabena Safo, Nanay Oweni, and Kwame Agbahoasi Minamo showcased their musical prowess on local instruments like the twin bell, Kobe, and rattle, creating a captivating soundscape. Their back-to-back hits not only entertained the crowd but also resonated with the essence of the exhibition.
The This Is Ghana Exhibition, with Kwan Pa’s electrifying performance as the focal point, transformed into more than just a trade fair. It became a celebration of Ghanaian talent and creativity, captivating all who attended.
Sponsored by prominent companies such as MTN, KOA Natural, Ghana Gas, Ghana Pay, Built Financial Technologies, Peeva Beverages, Global Shea Alliance, Eximbank Ghana, National Petroleum Commission, and Aramex Logistics, the This Is Ghana Exhibition is set to continue until Sunday, September 1.
