Ghanaian afro beats singer Hajia Police has praised Kuami Eugene for using his “voice and talent” to foster unity among Ghanaians.
Her comments follow the success of the Lynx Entertainment star’s latest peace anthem, “Yen Ara Asaase Ni.” Originally composed by Dr. Ephraim Amu, the song has been a cultural staple for decades, but Kuami Eugene’s rendition breathes new life into it.
The track brought together an ensemble of top-tier Ghanaian artists, including Sista Afia, S3fa, Fameye, Wendy Shay, Strongman, and Hajia Police. Notably, the song was pivotal in promoting peace during Ghana’s 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
Reflecting on the song’s impact, Hajia Police described Kuami Eugene as a “true leader” whose music resonates deeply with Ghanaians.
“My beautiful people of Ghana, it’s important for us to stay united as one people. We must embrace peace and continue to live together in harmony,” Hajia Police remarked in an exclusive interview with Ghanafuo.com this week.
She continued: “There’s one person I want to mention today – a musician who has been using his voice and talent to bring us together and remind us of the power of peace. That person is none other than Kuami Eugene.”
Hajia Police also applauded the “Cryptocurrency” hitmaker for his humility, diligence, and unwavering commitment to spreading positivity through his music.
“Kuami Eugene is more than just a great artist; he’s a true leader. His music speaks to our hearts and brings us closer. He’s humble, hardworking, and always focused on spreading good messages through his work,” she said.
Speaking about her collaboration with Kuami Eugene on “Yen Ara Asaase Ni,” Hajia Police highlighted his role as a peace ambassador.
“I had the honor of working with him on the peace song ‘Yen Ara Asaase Ni,’ and I can tell you – Kuami Eugene is a true ambassador of peace.”
Explaining the song’s significance, she added: “This song is our way of telling Ghana, ‘Let’s stay together, let’s live in peace, and let’s support each other.’ His music brings all of us together, no matter where we come from, no matter our background. This is not just music – it’s a message of hope, love, and unity for Ghana.”
Hajia Police concluded with heartfelt gratitude: “So, to Kuami Eugene, I say thank you for your dedication, for your music, and your love for Ghana. You are an inspiration to all of us. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can keep Ghana peaceful and united. Thank you, and may God continue to bless our beautiful nation!”
