Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall sensation, Ras Kuuku, is oozing confidence as he sets his sights on clinching the Best Reggae Song and Artiste of the Year awards at the highly anticipated Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) 2024.
During a recent interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Ras Kuuku made a bold declaration, stating, “I’m winning and nobody is winning,” when quizzed about his chances of emerging victorious at the prestigious event.
This year, Ras Kuuku finds himself in contention in the Best Reggae/Dancehall Song category with his chart-topping single “Eyeball Remix” featuring Samini. Additionally, he is vying for the Best Reggae/Dancehall Artist title alongside other industry heavyweights like Epixode, Stonebwoy, and Samini.
The talented artist highlighted his significant contributions to the Reggae and Dancehall music scene, citing his stellar performance at Puom Fest and relentless efforts in promoting the genre nationwide.
“Who in the category has promoted Reggae more than me?” Ras Kuuku challenged.
In a stern warning to the TGMA organizers, Ras Kuuku cautioned against honoring an artist who does not authentically represent the Dancehall genre. He vowed that failure to recognize his talent would not only be a disgrace to Reggae but also lead him to “disgrace the scheme” in response.
