King Promise, the talented Ghanaian Afrobeats artist, is feeling optimistic about his chances of winning the Artiste of the Year award at the upcoming 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
In a recent interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz with Doreen Avio, King Promise expressed confidence in his nominations across six categories.
The ‘Terminator’ hitmaker is in the running for Artiste of the Year, Afrobeats Artiste of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year, International Collaboration of the Year for his songs ‘Terminator 2’ and ‘Perfect Combi’, as well as Best Afropop Song of the Year.
When asked if he would be surprised if he didn’t win the Artiste of the Year category, King Promise confidently replied, “Yea, hundred percent,” emphasizing the hard work and dedication he has put into his music over the past year.
The competition for the Artiste of the Year award includes other prominent artists such as Stonebwoy, Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie, Nacee, and Black Sherif. Despite his tough competition, King Promise remains focused on his music and recently released a new song titled ‘Favourite Story,’ featuring Sarkodie and Olivetheboy.
The 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards ceremony is set to take place on June 1, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre. Alongside the Artiste of the Year award, other categories to be presented include Songwriter of the Year, Record of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year, New Artiste of the Year, and Gospel Song of the Year.
