Guinness Ghana DJ Awards pub fest 2024 held in Accra

The annual Guinness Ghana DJ Awards Pub Fest, powered by Smirnoff, recently took place on September 7, 2024, at the Kona Lounge in Accra.

The event, which is a prelude to the main awards ceremony, featured talented DJs from across the country showcasing their skills and entertaining music lovers.

The Guinness Ghana DJ Awards Pub Fest has been touring various regions in Ghana, including the Volta Region, Bono Region, and Northern Region, before making a stop in the Greater Accra Region at the Kona Lounge.

The event serves as a platform for DJs to display their talents and engage with their fans in a lively and vibrant atmosphere.

At the event, music enthusiasts were treated to an exciting lineup of DJs, including the reigning champion DJ Cartoon, DJ Lord OTB, DJ Ikon, DJ Toyor, DJ Lipsy, DJ Miki, and DJ Afro.

The crowd danced the night away to a mix of different genres of music, fueled by bottles of Smirnoff and Guinness.

The theme of this year’s Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, “United by Music,” was clearly evident at the Pub Fest, as total strangers came together to enjoy the music and ambiance created by the talented DJs.

One party-goer expressed their love for the event, stating, “I love all the DJs, I’m a music lover so I love every DJ. I came here to have fun. Already it’s going down!”

Events coordinator of the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, David Quaye, explained the importance of DJs in the entertainment ecosystem and highlighted the aim of the awards to spotlight and recognize these talented individuals.

Merqury Quaye, CEO of Merqury Republic and Founder of Guinness Ghana DJ awards, emphasized the significance of the Pub Fest in providing a platform for emerging DJs to shine.

As the anticipation builds for the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards night on 9th November at the Grand Arena, Accra, reigning champion DJ Lord OTB is set to defend his title.

The event is powered by Smirnoff and supported by Korba, GhanaMusic, JoyPrime, Electroland Ghana, CompuGhana, EzzyGrab, White Board DJ Store, Franko, and GhanaMusic.
