Ghanaian gospel musician Empress Gifty has excitedly announced the date for her highly anticipated annual Easter event, Resurrection Effect ‘TREC’ 2024. This year’s edition will mark the sixth year of the event and is scheduled to take place on April 1 at the Living Faith Ministry International located at Ashaley Botwe near Pentecost down in Accra.
During an interview on TV3’s New Day on March 18, Empress Gifty shared that this year’s event will not just feature song ministrations but will also incorporate drama and arts. She emphasized the importance of incorporating arts into her ministry, drawing inspiration from the skillfulness of King David in the Bible.
Empress Gifty revealed that for this year’s event, she has decided to showcase the talents of four men in the industry; MOG, Akese Brempong, Kofi Owusu Peprah, and ACP Kofi Sarpong. She explained that the decision to feature only men was inspired by the biblical story of Mary Magdalene going to the disciples, who were all men, after encountering the resurrected Jesus.
In addition to the main event on Easter Monday, April 1, there will be a float on Good Friday starting from the Accra Mall. The TREC 2024 event is set to kick off at 3 pm on April 1 and will be open to the public free of charge.
