Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu, the Founder of 3Music Networks and the National Democratic Congress’s parliamentary candidate for the Okaikoi Central constituency, has finally revealed why Stonebwoy did not perform at his SallahFest event held in April.
According to Sadiq, despite multiple attempts to contact Stonebwoy and his team on the night of the event, he only managed to get through to them recently.
“We had reached out. Even on the day of the event we had reached out. We even sent a couple of messages and calls, so after it [the show], we thought that maybe at the right time they would get back on the calls, and that in our efforts to reach out to them, they will return the calls,” he explained to Joy FM’s Kwame Dadzie on Showbiz A-Z.
Furthermore, Sadiq mentioned that Stonebwoy’s manager had informed him a few weeks prior to the event that the dancehall artist was not pleased with Shatta Wale’s involvement in the concert lineup.
Despite the communication breakdown, Sadiq held the 11th edition of his annual SalahFest on April 11, 2023, in Accra. The event aimed to promote social unity among the Okaikoi Central constituents and mark the end of the Ramadan celebrations. The lineup featured Shatta Wale, Wendy Shay, DopeNation, Larruso, Olivetheboy, and King Promise.
