Film Possible, a non-profit organization based in Uganda, is gearing up for the second edition of the Matatu Film Stage in Accra.
The two-day event will take place at the Barn Door Beergarden in Nyaniba Estates, offering local film enthusiasts a unique opportunity to experience the creativity of African cinema.
The Accra edition of the Matatu Film Stage will feature screenings of eight films by talented African filmmakers.
This event is part of a series of screenings that have taken place in seven different cities across the continent, including Kampala, Jinja, Mbale, Gulu, Mbarara, Nairobi, Kigali, Dar es Salaam, and Dubai. Some of the standout films to be showcased include Jangu, The Last Shoemaker, Sungura, and Ubuntu Uppercut.
Film Possible is dedicated to supporting and nurturing the next generation of African filmmakers through year-round programs and initiatives. By providing vital support to independent filmmakers on the continent, the organization aims to help them push boundaries and create impactful storytelling.
