The committee has been given a wide-ranging mandate, which includes assessing the current state of the industry, identifying key challenges, developing policies to attract investment and ensure sustainable growth, promoting Ghanaian films locally and internationally, improving production facilities and training opportunities, enhancing film festivals and cultural showcases, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to create more opportunities for filmmakers, actors, and creatives.
Dr. Amoakohene emphasized the importance of dedication, commitment, and unity among committee members to ensure that Kumawood and the entire creative industry can reach new heights.
He expressed confidence that building a globally competitive film industry will allow for the telling of the rich stories of Asanteman and Ghana on a global stage.
