Two Ghanaian Street Artists, Black, and Akidi, Transforming Accra into an Artistic Haven
Two young Ghanaian artists, Richmond Kweku Adu, and Cashmere Opoku Ntiamoah, have joined forces to create vibrant and captivating graffiti art in Accra.
Known as Black and Akidi, the duo, also referred to as “Meet The Guys 360,” have been turning heads and inspiring passers-by with their colorful and expressive creations.
Richmond and Cashmere first crossed paths during their art training and quickly discovered a shared passion for graffiti art.
Their individual dreams have now evolved into a collaborative reality, as they work together to transform sections of Accra into an artistic paradise.
Drawing inspiration from nature, the duo infuses each piece they create with beauty, freedom, and the vibrancy of life.
Their artwork aims to connect viewers to specific moments and emotions, offering a unique and engaging experience for all who encounter it.
Despite facing challenges in the Ghanaian art scene, Richmond and Cashmere remain dedicated to their craft.
They advise aspiring artists to work with the resources they have and slowly build a portfolio that stands out. Through collaborations with other artists and participation in art festivals, the duo has made a name for themselves in the local art community.
Looking ahead, Black and Akidi have ambitious plans to beautify Greater Accra and beyond, with a goal of becoming household names in Ghanaian and African art.
They are currently working on government projects that will be unveiled on their Instagram page (@mtg360) in the coming weeks.
