Approximately 2,000 widows in Jamestown, located in the Greater Accra Region, were the recipients of a generous donation of food items from the McDan Foundation in collaboration with Ridne, a company based in Ukraine.

As part of the International Women’s Day celebration, the McDan Foundation organized an annual event where rice and beverages were distributed to widows who are considered vulnerable in society.

The event took place at the Mantse Agbonaa Park in Jamestown and also included health screenings for the widows. Dr. Daniel McKorley, the Chairman of the McDan Group of Companies, expressed his joy at seeing the less fortunate individuals excited and emphasized his commitment to giving back to the community and the nation of Ghana.
