The highly anticipated Akwaaba Festival, organized by Ceejay Multimedia, is set to kick off tomorrow, March 6 at the National Theatre and will run until March 8.
Celebrating the rich and diverse Ghanaian culture, the festival aims to showcase various forms of artistic expression and cultural components unique to the region.
The opening day will feature exhibitions and sales of Ghanaian art and crafts, traditional textiles, fashion accessories, local beverages, and a food bazaar.
Music enthusiasts can look forward to live sessions presented by the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) on March 6 and 7. Participating members have rehearsed diligently and are eager to deliver an exciting showcase for the audience.
Expressing his excitement, Joe Osae, CEO of Ceejay Multimedia, highlighted the hard work put in by his team to ensure a successful and enjoyable festival for all attendees.
The festival will culminate on March 8 with the Akwaaba Night, featuring a blend of music, fashion, and dance performances by renowned acts like the Ghana Dance Ensemble and guitarist Akablay with his Abiza Band.
Additionally, the event will honor six personalities and organizations in the cultural industry, as well as launch the Miss Akwaaba 2024 pageant and a 13-week tourism and cultural television reality show.
