The late rapper XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was tragically shot dead on June 18, 2018, in broad daylight as he left a Florida motorcycle dealership.

The murder trial of his alleged killers, Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, and Trayvon Newsome, has now taken an unexpected turn with Drake being dragged into the mix.

Drake and XXXTentacion had a contentious relationship, with rumors swirling for years about a feud between the two musicians. XXXTentacion accused Drake of stealing his flow in the song “Look At Me,” which led to a public spat between the two. In response, Drake did not comment on the claims but denied stealing XXXTentacion’s style.

Despite the ongoing feud, prosecutors have stated that there is no evidence linking Drake to XXXTentacion’s murder.

However, defense attorneys have argued that Drake should provide a deposition in the case, alleging that law enforcement did not investigate the purported feud between the two rappers after XXXTentacion’s death.

Drake’s lyrics in his songs have also been scrutinized, with fans speculating that he made veiled references to XXXTentacion’s murder.

The Canadian artist’s rhymes in tracks such as “I’m Upset” and “On BS” have been analyzed for potential connections to XXXTentacion’s tragic demise.
