Known for her trademark cowboy hat, American track and field athlete Tara Davis-Woodhall is gearing up for the 2024 Paris Olympics with a series of impressive wins under her belt.
Born on May 20, 1999, Tara competed in the long jump and hurdles and made her debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
As a high school student, she set records in indoor long jump and the 100-meter hurdles. Tara also broke the world under-20 record in the 70-meter hurdles while attending the University of Georgia.
With over half a million followers on Instagram, Tara has coined herself as “America’s Cowgirl” due to her iconic cowboy hat style.
She recently clinched gold in the women’s long jump at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Track & Field Trials, propelling her towards the Paris Olympics.
Tara, who will be representing the United States in the long jump event, achieved a personal best of 7.17 meters in May 2024.
Despite finishing sixth in Tokyo, Tara is determined to secure Olympic gold this time around.
Married to Paralympian Hunter Woodhall, the couple met at a track in Idaho and share their lives with hundreds of thousands of social media followers.
Hunter, a multiple Paralympic medalist, had both his legs amputated at a young age due to fibular hemimelia.
