Renowned voice actress and YouTuber Zoey Alexandria, also known as Zoey Wendorf, who is best known for her role in the popular video game Dead By Daylight, sadly passed away on April 30, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois.
At the age of 29, just weeks after her character, The Unknown, was introduced in the game, she lost her battle with pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome, a rare form of encephalitis that causes brain inflammation.
The Unknown, the character that Alexandria voiced in Dead By Daylight, is one of the 35 “killers” featured in the game. The character was introduced through a downloadable content chapter that was released on March 12, 2024. Players of the game will recognize The Unknown as a mysterious and deadly figure with an unknowable fate.
Due to her health struggles, Alexandria was unable to work and had created a GoFundMe to help with her expenses.
She also had pre-existing health conditions such as immunoglobulin G deficiency and chronic strep infections, which made her more susceptible to brain inflammation.
Alexandria’s passing left a void in the voice acting and gaming community, as fans mourned the loss of a talented individual who brought characters to life through her voice.
