Following an unsuccessful bid for the U.S. House of Representatives, Sam Brown has announced his campaign for Senate, with his wife Amy standing by his side every step of the way.
The couple, who first met while serving in the US Army, have a remarkable love story that has captured the hearts of many.
Amy Larsen, a former US Army veteran and dietitian to troops in Iraq, tied the knot with Sam in May 2009. The pair met in November 2008, after Sam was injured in Afghanistan and subsequently placed under Amy’s care as his dietitian at the Army Burn Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Despite facing challenges and injuries, their bond only strengthened with time. Sam and Amy quickly fell in love, got engaged after a month of dating, and married shortly after. Their shared faith in God and commitment to each other has been the foundation of their relationship.
The couple now resides in Reno, Nevada, with their three children. Since retiring from the military, Amy has taken on the role of a homeschool teacher while supporting Sam in his political endeavors.
As Sam embarks on his Senate campaign, Amy continues to be his biggest supporter and partner in life.
