Marco Rubio has been a prominent figure in American politics for many years, serving as a Senator for Florida since 2011.
While his political career has been in the spotlight, many are also curious about his family life, especially his wife of over two decades, Jeanette Christina Dousdebes Rubio.
Jeanette Christina Dousdebes Rubio was born on December 5, 1973, in Miami, Florida. Her parents, both Cuban immigrants, divorced when she was just six years old.
After graduating from high school, Jeanette attended Miami Dade College and worked as a bank teller. She later became a Miami Dolphins Cheerleader alongside her sister, Adriana Dousdebes.
In 1998, Jeanette tied the knot with Marco Rubio, whom she had first met in college through a mutual friend when they were teenagers.
Rubio, who was already impressed by Jeanette’s dedication and passion, proposed at the top of the Empire State Building during a trip to New York City.
The couple exchanged vows at the Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables, Florida, and have been together ever since.
Apart from being known as Marco Rubio’s wife, Jeanette is also the founder and president of JDR Consulting, Inc., a firm that collaborates with the Braman Family Charitable Foundation in South Florida to help evaluate grant requests for charitable organizations.
She is also actively involved in various community organizations that fight against human trafficking, such as Kristi’s House and the Agape Network.
Since their marriage, Marco and Jeanette have welcomed four children into their family.
Their daughters Daniella and Amanda, along with sons Anthony and Dominick, bring joy and happiness to their household. Although the Rubio children prefer to stay out of the limelight, they occasionally make appearances on their parents’ social media accounts.
