Award-winning actress Kathryn Grody, known for her roles in ’80s and ’90s movies, is reintroducing herself to a new audience alongside her husband, actor and singer Mandy Patinkin, through social media.
Grody was born on November 6, 1946, in Los Angeles, California. She has won two Obie Awards for her performances in off-broadway productions of Top Girls and The Marriage of Bette and Boo. Married to Mandy Patinkin since 1980, they have two children, Isaac and Gideon.
After becoming a mother, Kathryn wrote and acted in the autobiographical play “Mom’s Life,” portraying her journey as she set her career aside to become a full-time stay-at-home mother. Interestingly, Gideon began documenting and sharing his parent’s daily lives on social media in 2020.
The couple’s significant social media following is attributed to their son’s videos on TikTok, featuring his parents’ bickering, joking, and discussing politics.
The couple has gained over 2 million followers and 27.7 million likes on TikTok, and later partnered with the progressive political group Swing Left, creating videos to encourage people to vote for Joe Biden in the 2020 United States presidential election.
