Popular Hallmark actress Mamie Laverock is currently on life support after falling five stories from a balcony walkway.
The 19-year-old actress, known for her role as Rosaleen Sullivan in When Calls the Heart, is facing life-threatening injuries and has undergone multiple extensive surgeries.
According to a GoFundMe page set up by her family, Laverock’s mother, Nicole Compton, rushed to Winnipeg to assist her daughter during a medical emergency.
She was then transferred to a Vancouver hospital where her condition was described as “unclear” but showing signs of improvement. Unfortunately, on May 26, 2024, Laverock fell from a balcony walkway after being escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital, resulting in devastating injuries.
Her parents, Rob and Nicole Compton, expressed their devastation and shock at this difficult time, revealing that Laverock is currently on life support. The actress had been in intensive treatment for the past two weeks, and her recovery is expected to be a lengthy process.
Laverock’s co-stars from When Calls the Heart, including Erin Krakow, Johannah Newmarch, and others, have shown their support by encouraging fans to donate to the GoFundMe page to help Laverock and her family during this challenging time.
The Hallmark drama series When Calls the Heart, in which Laverock portrays Rosaleen Sullivan, is currently in its 11th season and has been renewed for a 12th season, set to begin production in July 2024.
