Investment banker Jonathan Kaye, a managing director at Moelis & Company in New York, is facing serious allegations after a video of him allegedly attacking a woman at an LGBTQ+ Pride event went viral.
The incident occurred on June 8, 2024, during Brooklyn’s Pride festival, where Kaye was filmed punching an unidentified woman after the parade.
The video shows Kaye approaching the woman and delivering a right hook that sent her tumbling to the ground. As bystanders expressed shock and dismay, Kaye can be heard claiming that the woman “threw stuff all over” him.
Moelis & Company has responded to the accusations by stating, “We take this matter very seriously and are conducting an investigation.”
As an investment banker specializing in divestitures, mergers, and acquisitions, Kaye’s reputation has come under scrutiny following this incident.
The NYPD is aware of the video, although no formal complaints have been filed yet. They encourage any victims to come forward and report the incident to the authorities.
