Power Book 2: Ghost fans were left puzzled after the mention of a mysterious character named Denise in the latest episode of the hit crime series.
In the season four premiere, viewers heard the name Denise in a conversation between Michael Rainey Jr.’s Tariq St. Patrick and Gianni Paola’s Brayden Weston, as they were on the run with a bounty on their heads.
Detective Don Carter, played by actor Ealy, revealed that Denise was not lost, but had been murdered, indicating that she was his wife.
However, Denise does not physically appear on screen, with Carter only mentioning her when speaking to a priest through a confessional grill.
It remains unclear how Denise’s death will impact the upcoming episodes of Ghost.
Carter’s character hints that her passing has driven him to work harder to make the streets safer, but has also filled him with bitterness, wrath, and anger.
Power Book 2 season four has been split into two parts, with part one premiering on June 7, 2024, and the second part set to release on September 6, 2024.
Viewers in the UK can catch the show on MGM+ via Prime Video, while fans in the US can watch it on Starz. Despite the original Power series being available on Netflix in the UK, the spin-off has never been made available on the streaming platform.
