Famous prosecutor Mathew S Rosengart played a pivotal role in Britney Spears’ conservatorship case, leading her to freedom after 13 years.
Rosengart, a former federal prosecutor, is known for his work in white-collar litigation and media and entertainment cases. He took over from Samuel Ingham in representing Spears after she expressed dissatisfaction with the former’s services.
The court officially ended Spears’ conservatorship, granting her control of her life for the first time since 2008. Rosengart, praising Spears for her courage, said that the decision marked a monumental day, giving the singer the freedom she deserved. He emphasized that the next steps for Spears were entirely up to her, indicating a new chapter in her life.
Apart from his work with Spears, Rosengart has represented several high-profile Hollywood clients, including Steven Spielberg, Sean Penn, and Kenneth Lonergan. He assisted Penn in winning a defamation case against filmmaker Lee Daniels, earning praise for his dedication and expertise.
In addition to her legal victory, Spears recently finalized her divorce settlement with estranged husband Sam Asghari. Asghari, who filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences, signed a prenup, leaving him with no financial assets post-divorce. Despite the split, Spears has been supporting Asghari by paying his rent, showing her generosity even after the end of their relationship.
The pop star and Asghari first met in 2016 during the filming of Britney’s music video, eventually getting engaged in September 2021 and tying the knot in June 2022. Spears shares two sons with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, whom she divorced in 2007.
