Jon Wysocki, a talented drummer known for his work with American rock bands Staind and SOiL, has tragically passed away.
Born in Northampton, Massachusetts in 1971, Wysocki was an original member of Staind, which was formed in 1995.
The band gained recognition after signing with Fred Durst’s Flip Records in 1998 and releasing their major label debut album Dysfunction in 1999. Wysocki left Staind in 2011 due to his dissatisfaction with the band’s direction.
After leaving Staind, Wysocki joined SOiL before forming the band Save The World with Dan Tracey and Robert Wright. In 2020, he became a member of Lydia’s Castle.
On May 18, 2024, Jon Wysocki passed away at the age of 53, as announced by his band Lydia’s Castle on Instagram. The cause of his death is not yet known, although he had reportedly been battling liver problems.
Tributes poured in for the late drummer, with fellow band SOiL expressing their sorrow over the loss. Former bandmate Aaron Lewis also shared a heartfelt message, describing Wysocki as a brother and expressing his deep sadness at the passing of a dear friend.
