Green, a legendary broadcaster, peacefully passed away after battling Alzheimer’s, as confirmed by Bullseye in a heartfelt tribute.
According to Bullseye, Tony Green will be fondly remembered for the joy he brought to fans and colleagues through his work on the show.
His health struggles included a battle with cancer in 2010, which affected his ability to commentate. However, after a period of recovery, Green returned to his role in 2012 and continued until 2016.
Green’s iconic tenure as the announcer and co-host of Bullseye from 1982 to 1995 endeared him to audiences across the country.
Additionally, he served as the lead commentator for the inaugural BDO World Championship in 1978, solidifying his status as a darts legend.
