Contestants from Keta Senior High Technical School who participated in the 2024 National Science and Maths quiz are reaching out to the public for financial assistance to further their academic endeavors.
These students appeared on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning show to make their plea, requesting support in the form of laptops, scholarships, and other essential academic materials.
Frederick Adjavor-Sowalo emphasized the need for assistance with school applications, exam fees, and scholarship opportunities, highlighting the financial constraints they face in pursuing higher education outside of Ghana.
Similarly, Clinton Edem Adorsoo expressed gratitude for anyone willing to provide laptops to aid in their studies.
Despite their outstanding performance at the NSMQ, these students revealed that they lack access to essential teaching and learning resources.
They believe that with the necessary support, they can achieve even greater success in their academic pursuits. Additionally, they are not only seeking help for themselves but also for their schoolmates, requesting resources like laptops, buses for travel, and additional training space.
All four contestants have graduated and are hopeful about their future academic endeavors. They have aspirations to study Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Medicine at both Ghanaian and international universities.
