Stanbic Heights, located in Accra, has been awarded the prestigious EDGE certification for achieving key energy savings features.

The EDGE Certification system, developed by IFC, seeks to promote resource-efficient and zero-carbon buildings worldwide.

Developed by Fairllop Property Developers Limited and managed by Broll Ghana, Stanbic Heights is strategically located in the vibrant Airport City enclave, near the Kotoka International Airport.

The building, operational since 2013, offers a gross leasable area of 20,145 square meters and houses a variety of tenants from different industries.

Notable tenants in Stanbic Heights include Stanbic Bank, Samsung, MasterCard Foundation, Genser Energy, Baker Hughes, and DHL.

The building’s Edge Certification was achieved by incorporating energy and water-saving technologies, as well as using environmentally friendly construction materials.

The certification process focused on energy consumption, water consumption, and the energy footprint of construction materials.

Stanbic Heights scored high marks for its energy-saving features like reduced window-to-wall ratio, high-performance glass, and efficient lighting. The building’s water-saving system includes the use of water-efficient faucets and water closets.

George Adjei-Ampofo, Regional Head of Lango Real Estate, expressed pride in Stanbic Heights’ EDGE Certification, emphasizing the importance of developing green and sustainable buildings to reduce carbon footprint.
