Football fans can look forward to the return of Soccer Aid, a massive charity match that is set to take place on June 9, 2024, at Stamford Bridge. The event, which has not been held at this iconic football stadium since 2019, will see the England team looking to secure a victory after their last win in 2018.

The match, which will be played for the benefit of UNICEF, will feature a star-studded lineup of football legends and celebrities. England’s team will be managed by Frank Lampard, who will be joined by co-managers Harry Redknapp and Robbie Williams. The squad includes names like Jermain Defoe, Jack Wilshere, and Karen Carney, among others.

On the other side, the World XI team will be under the management of Mauricio Pochettino, with Usain Bolt leading the team as captain. The lineup also includes stars like Eden Hazard, Roberto Carlos, and Martin Compston.

With ticket prices yet to be confirmed, it has been announced that a family ticket (for two adults and two children) will be available for £60. The England team will be wearing a special kit inspired by the Three Lions’ Euro 96 outfit.

The match will be broadcast for free on ITV1 and STV, with online streaming available on ITVX. The program will be presented by Dermot O’Leary and Alex Scott, with commentary by Sam Matterface and co-comms by comedian Iain Sterling. A halftime show is also expected to be part of the event.

Since its inception in 2006, Soccer Aid has raised over £90 million for UNICEF, with the 2023 tournament setting a record by raising £14.6 million. This year’s event is expected to continue the tradition of supporting children in need worldwide.
