Hip-hop icon Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing another lawsuit in New York, this time accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman. The 12th accuser alleges that she was pressured to have an abortion after becoming pregnant and later suffered a miscarriage.
Mr. Combs, who was arrested last week on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, continues to deny all allegations of criminal activity. The latest civil lawsuit describes a pattern of physical and sexual abuse over a four-year period, with the woman claiming she was drugged and sexually assaulted without consent.
The lawsuit also alleges that Mr. Combs filmed the sexual encounters without permission and pressured the woman into engaging in group sex. In one disturbing instance, the woman claims she was forced to take the drug ketamine, causing her to lose consciousness intermittently throughout the night.
Despite these serious allegations, Mr. Combs’ lawyers maintain his innocence. The woman’s attorneys, Joseph L Ciaccio and Marie Napoli, highlighted the importance of holding Mr. Combs accountable, stating, “No one is above the law.”
This lawsuit adds to a series of allegations against the hip-hop mogul, including a previous lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura alleging physical and sexual abuse. Mr. Combs settled that lawsuit for an undisclosed sum.
In addition to the civil lawsuits, Mr. Combs is also facing criminal charges for allegedly creating a criminal enterprise to fulfill his sexual desires and protect his reputation. He has pleaded not guilty to the felony charges.
The BBC has reached out to Mr. Combs’ lawyer for comment on the latest allegations. Despite denying all previous accusations, Mr. Combs now faces another legal battle as more women come forward with troubling allegations against the influential hip-hop figure.
