Rocky Dawuni earns 4th Grammy nomination in 67th edition

Ghanaian music sensation Rocky Dawuni has once again proved his talent by earning a nomination at the 2025 Grammy Awards for Best Global Music Performance. This marks the fourth time that he has been recognized in this prestigious award scheme.

Rocky’s previous nomination was in 2022 for his album ‘Voice of Bunbon Vol. 1’ in the Best Global Music Album category. Additionally, his album ‘Branches of The Same Tree’ was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album back in 2015.

This year, Rocky is competing in the Best Global Music Performance category with his song ‘Rise’, alongside other talented artists such as Angélique Kidjo & Soweto Gospel Choir, Arooj Aftab, Jacob Collier featuring Anoushka Shankar & Varijashree Venugopal, Masa Takumi Featuring Ron Korb, Noshir Mody & Dale Edward Chung, and Sheila E. Featuring Gloria Estefan & Mimy Succar.

In the Best African Music Performance category, notable artists like Burna Boy, Wizkid, Chris Brown featuring Davido & Lojay, Tems, and Yemi Alade are also competing for the prestigious award.

The 2025 Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
