Empress Gifty, a renowned gospel artist in Ghana, has recently shared an interesting story about the inspiration behind her latest song, “Watch Me.” In an interview with Joy Prime’s Roselyn Felli on the Changes show, Empress Gifty revealed that the song was actually a prophecy that came to fruition.
It all started when her spiritual father prophesied earlier in 2023 that she would receive a song written by someone. True to the prophecy, Kuami Eugene approached her with the song. Seeking confirmation, Empress Gifty consulted her pastor, who validated that this was indeed the song she had been foretold about.
Although initially hesitant about the song’s production, Empress Gifty eventually followed God’s direction and decided to work with Kuami Eugene. To her surprise, Kuami Eugene did not charge her a dime for his contribution to the song, from writing to producing to royalties.
In addition to “Watch Me,” Empress Gifty also revealed that Kuami Eugene is the producer of her upcoming album, much to the excitement of her fans and music lovers. The song has already gained popularity and is considered one of the most listened-to and trending gospel songs in Ghana.
Empress Gifty expressed her gratitude to Kuami Eugene for his dedication and talent that contributed to the success of “Watch Me.”
