The late Kim Porter, a former model and actor, did not write a tell-all memoir detailing an abusive relationship with her longtime partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs, despite claims made in a bestselling book on Amazon.
The book, titled “Kim’s Lost Words: A journey for justice, from the other side…”, was independently published on Amazon in early September. It is alleged to be based on Porter’s diary and notes.
In a statement released by Porter’s children – Quincy, Christian, Jessie, and D’Lila – they denounced the book as a complete fabrication.
They made it clear that their mom did not write a book, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.
The children, who are the offspring of Porter and Combs, addressed the rumors and false information circulating about their parents’ relationship, pushing them to speak out.
Porter passed away in November 2018 at the age of 47 from pneumonia, according to her autopsy report, which ruled her death as natural causes. At the time of her death, Combs described their relationship as more than best friends and soul mates.
The book’s author, Todd Christopher Guzze, who uses the name Chris Todd, claims to have been provided with a flash drive, documents, and tapes by individuals close to Porter and Combs, which he used to piece together the memoir.
Despite the children’s denial of the book’s authenticity, Todd maintains that his door is open for direct communication with the family.
The book, riddled with typos and errors, details alleged acts of violence and abuse committed by Combs against Porter. It gained popularity following Combs’ arrest in New York and the unveiling of an indictment against him.
The book reached the number one spot on Amazon’s bestsellers list but has since dropped in rankings.
