A Kansas City Chiefs parade ended in tragedy when a shooting broke out, leaving at least 21 injured and a mom-of-two killed.
The victim, Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a local radio DJ, died from her injuries during surgery at a hospital. She was a beloved figure in the Latino community and her friends described her as a devoted mom.
The horrific attack occurred as more than 800 officers, including 600 from the Kansas City Police Department, were present at the parade. More than 20 individuals, including at least eight children, were shot, with victims being rushed to different hospitals.
Three people have been detained for investigation, and firearms were recovered. However, the motive for the attack is still unknown.
