After two years of waiting, Jack Catterall will finally get the chance to settle the score with Josh Taylor in a rematch that has been highly anticipated. The first fight between Taylor and Catterall took place in February 2022, with Taylor retaining his titles in a controversial decision.
Despite pretty much every fan and pundit scoring the fight for Catterall, he lost out on a split decision, leaving him feeling robbed of his dream to win the undisputed titles. However, Catterall will now have the opportunity for revenge in a much-awaited rematch against Taylor.
Although the rematch will not have the titles on the line as Taylor has since relinquished or lost them, it is sure to be a thrilling encounter between the two fighters. The fight is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 25 at the First Direct Arena in Leeds with main event ring-walks expected to start around 10.30pm UK time.
