Ghanaian Gospel artiste Celestine Donkor has shared her perspective on dealing with criticism and negative feedback within the gospel community.
In an interview with Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz, Celestine revealed that she has learned to choose her battles wisely and focus on positive energy.
She expressed, “I am naturally somebody who says exactly what is on my mind. My dad is like that and I have his blood, unfortunately, but I’ve grown to or I’ve matured to understand that it’s not everything that you can say.”
Celestine highlighted the importance of not reacting to every negative comment or criticism that comes her way.
One personal experience she shared was when she posted a picture with her husband, only to receive a hurtful comment. Despite her ability to articulate a response, Celestine chose not to engage, stating, “Mr. Donkor no go gree.”
The gospel artiste emphasized the significance of surrounding herself with positive vibes. She mentioned, “It is important to focus on those who are giving you the positive vibe, even if it is 1%. It is enough to keep your power and fuel going. That’s what I’ve resolved. In short, I’m unbothered.”
