Ghanaian gospel music legend, Moses OK, has opened up about the amount of money he receives from the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO).
In an interview on Joy Prime’s “Changes” show, the renowned musician revealed that he makes more money from streaming platforms like YouTube and Spotify than from GHAMRO.
Despite being new to these platforms, Moses OK shared that he has already started earning significantly more revenue from streaming his music.
He mentioned that in the past year, he received only between 90 and 100 cedis from GHAMRO. Throughout his career, he has never received more than 100 cedis from the organization.
This revelation has prompted Moses OK to join his colleagues in streaming all his songs on music platforms to reap financial rewards for his hard work.
He recently released a new track titled “Adom Bi Ahyia Me” (Grace Encountered Me), which is now available for streaming on all major music platforms.
The gospel singer’s experience highlights the shift in the music industry towards digital platforms for revenue generation.
