The Ghana Tourism Authority, along with COCOBOD and Cocoa Processing Company, has announced plans for the National Chocolate Week celebrations.

Set to take place from February 3rd to February 14th, 2025, this year’s theme is “EAT CHOCOLATE, STAY HEALTHY, GROW GHANA” with the sub-theme “Chocolate for all: taste, share, and care.”

The National Chocolate Week aims to promote the consumption of chocolate and showcase it as a healthy product. Initially established in 2007 to coincide with Valentine’s Day on February 14th each year, the celebration has now been extended to a week-long event since 2021.

A statement from the GTA expressed gratitude to the farmers for their dedication to cultivating cocoa, transforming it into the world-renowned delight that brings joy to millions.

During the National Chocolate Week, regional offices of the Ghana Tourism Authority will visit Pediatric Units of Regional Hospitals on February 14, 2025.

Various activities are planned for this year’s celebrations, including media engagement and sensitization, a melting moment with a chocolate drink stand, a float and chocolate feast through Accra’s streets, a chocolate experience at the Kotoka International Airport, and hotel and restaurant participation with special chocolate-themed dishes and desserts.
