The Green Africa Youth Organisation (GAYO) is teaming up with JoyNews and the Climate Development Knowledge Network to bring you an extraordinary event: the Green Film Festival Accra.
This festival is designed to promote environmental sustainability, fight climate change, and raise awareness about wildlife conservation through the power of film.
Under the theme “Stories Spark Change,” this year’s festival will showcase captivating narratives that explore the relationship between human actions and the environment.
It highlights the importance of storytelling in driving environmental sustainability and social change.
Taking place at the Legon Botanical Gardens from October 25th to October 26th, the festival will feature a diverse range of activities throughout the day. Attendees can look forward to morning, afternoon, and evening sessions, with the evenings dedicated to an outdoor movie experience.
After receiving an impressive 1,800 film submissions, the festival organizers have carefully selected 44 films to be screened during various sessions.
In addition to film screenings, there will be workshops, panel discussions, special screenings, and other interactive activities to raise awareness and inspire actionable change on critical social and environmental issues.
