The Antique Lemonade Arts Foundation has recently launched an exciting new project called Ghananipa.
This project is designed to document and celebrate the lives of everyday Ghanaians who have made significant contributions to their communities, families, and the nation as a whole.
During the press launch of the project at Dynaspace in Accra, Franka-Maria Andoh, Chair of the Antique Lemonade Arts Foundation, shared that the idea behind Ghananipa was to shine a spotlight on the stories of ordinary Ghanaians who have made a positive impact.
Andoh emphasized that the project is not just about looking back at the past but also about celebrating the present and inspiring future generations.
One of the unique aspects of Ghananipa is its focus on highlighting the stories of regular individuals who have made a difference in their communities and families. The project aims to showcase how these unsung heroes have played a crucial role in shaping the Ghana we know today.
Ghananipa’s website serves as a platform for documenting these inspiring stories, categorizing them under different segments such as arts, sports, and science. Andoh mentioned that the website is user-friendly and easy to access, with plans to incorporate documentaries, audio, and visuals in the future.
As the project moves forward, Andoh called on stakeholders, including corporates and creative arts foundations, to support Ghananipa in various ways, whether through financial contributions, providing space, sharing knowledge, or offering human resources.
She highlighted that the project’s success hinges on the collective effort and collaboration of all those who believe in its mission.
Ultimately, the Ghananipa project has the potential to not only inspire a new generation of Ghanaians but also foster a sense of national pride.
