A few years ago, Yahaya Mubarik Mbeinba worked as a G4S security guard at Vivo Energy in Ghana. He watched professionals go by each day, dreaming of a different path for himself.

Despite excelling in his WASSCE, financial constraints stood in the way of his higher education aspirations.

He had even secured admission to study Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Ghana, but without the means to support himself, he had to let go of that opportunity.

However, fate had a different plan for Yahaya. His dedication and hard work caught the attention of some individuals who saw his potential. They came together to support him and make sure his dream of becoming a doctor became a reality.

Today, Yahaya is no longer in a security uniform, but instead, he proudly wears a white coat as a student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Not only has Yahaya excelled in his studies, but he has also been recognized as the best student in Pharmaceutics and the overall best student in the pre-clinical years of the PharmD program at KNUST.

His journey serves as a powerful example of resilience, mentorship, and the impact of those who choose to uplift others.

As Yahaya continues on his path, he carries with him a valuable lesson: success is not just about personal achievement, but about the difference we can make in the lives of others.
