Gals World, a non-profit organization committed to empowering young girls through education and mentorship, kicked off this year’s ‘The Red Tour Project’ with a lively and inspiring event at Zen Garden.

The event saw a diverse group of supporters coming together to advocate for the end of period poverty and the advancement of education for young girls in Ghana.

Since 2017, the Red Tour Project has been dedicated to providing menstrual hygiene products to underprivileged girls, ensuring that they do not miss school due to their periods.

Through awareness campaigns and outreach programs, the project aims to break the silence and stigma surrounding menstruation by offering education, resources, and support.

A highlight of the evening was a moving speech by musician and humanitarian, Feli Nuna, who called on attendees to rally behind the important mission of the Red Tour Project.

Feli Nuna emphasized the importance of giving every girl the opportunity to pursue her dreams without the hindrance of period poverty, urging ongoing contributions to support this cause.

Adding a special touch to the event, the soulful tunes of Kwan Pa band, known for their traditional palm wine music, entertained guests. Gals World also announced a new collaboration with Kwan Pa Band to raise funds for the Red Tour Project through a series of musical and cultural events.

The partnership will see the two organizations working closely to generate more support for menstrual health and education.

The band leader, Mr. Asa Nkansah, revealed that the tour would be heading to Tinkong and Asebi on the outskirts of Koforidua and Dodowa, and called on their community to support the project to celebrate the seven-year anniversary of the band.
