Fameye Clarifies Reports of Walking Off Stage During London Concert
Fameye has set the record straight regarding reports that he abruptly ended his performance and walked off the stage during a concert in London held at the Dominion Centre.
A viral video circulating the internet captured Fameye expressing his frustration towards the DJ for not playing the correct songs during his performance, sparking discussions in the media. However, Fameye has debunked claims that he abandoned the stage mid-performance.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Fameye clarified, “Let me do this correction. News reports suggest that I left the stage.
I never left the stage. When it was not going well, I just approached the DJ. I finished performing. The people even threw pounds on me, clapped for me and I told them that God bless them so much and that regardless of whatever happened I really appreciated them.”
The artist explained that due to the event running behind schedule, he was only given a limited time of 10 minutes to perform. Despite the challenging circumstances, Fameye commended the DJ for handling the workload of playing for several artists on the lineup that night.
Chos Media, the management team of DJ Chos, the DJ at the center of the controversy, also released a statement addressing the incident. They expressed regret over the challenges faced during the event and clarified the sequence of events leading to the misunderstanding.
According to DJ Chos’s management, there were conflicting instructions given to the DJ during the performance, leading to some confusion. Despite the hiccups, they highlighted that other artists like Kelvyn Boy and Kweku Flick performed seamlessly with DJ Chos as their DJ on the same night.
