Ghanaian artist Ama Nova has expressed her disappointment with fellow musician Fameye over what she claims to be an unfulfilled agreement between them.
The issue arose when Fameye allegedly failed to promote their collaborative song on his social media platforms despite being paid to do so.
In an interview on Daybreak Hitz with DJ Slim, Nova revealed that the initial agreement included Fameye sharing her artworks to show support for the song’s release. However, Fameye reportedly did not fulfill this part of the agreement by posting about the song.
According to Nova, she has received messages from fans who visited Fameye’s page and could not find any mention of the song, which has left her feeling disheartened.
Additionally, there were delays in the release of the song, ‘Odo Different’, which was initially scheduled for October last year but was only released recently.
Nova stated that both parties had agreed on a specific amount of money to be paid to Fameye for promoting the song on social media and appearing in the music video.
Despite the payment being made, Nova claimed that attempts to reach Fameye to fulfill his part of the agreement were unsuccessful.
She further disclosed that there was no written contract but conversations and WhatsApp chats confirming the transaction.
Nova also mentioned having a voice note of Fameye agreeing to shoot content with her in New York but has faced challenges in getting him to follow through.
According to Nova, Fameye’s manager informed her that the musician wanted to support her music but was unable to do so at the time due to prior commitments.
However, Nova expressed her frustration over the lack of support from Fameye even after the song’s release.
