WWE celebrity Nikki Bella and her husband, professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev, first met when they were paired together on the hit show Dancing With The Stars.
However, recent reports surfaced in August 2024 that Artem had been taken into custody for domestic violence.
Artem Chigvintsev is a renowned professional dancer who gained fame for winning the Dancing With The Stars competition in 2020 with his partner, The Bachelor’s Kaitlyn Bristowe.
He previously showcased his dancing skills on the UK’s Strictly Come Dancing, winning the glitterball trophy with his first celebrity student, Kara Tointon.
Artem has also been paired with other famous personalities on the dance floor, including Aussie actress and singer Holly Valance, TV presenter Fern Britton, and soap star Natalie Gumede.
The news of Artem’s arrest for felony domestic violence emerged on August 29, 2024, in Napa County, California. He was booked on domestic battery charges after paramedics were called to the scene.
The alleged victim’s identity has not been disclosed, and Artem was later released on bail.
Artem and Nikki Bella began their relationship in 2018 after being partners on Dancing With The Stars in 2017.
The couple got engaged in November 2019 and exchanged vows in Paris in August 2022. They welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Matteo, in July 2020. Nikki shared that they conceived Matteo in the guest room of her twin sister Brie’s home.
