The Miss Malaika Ghana 2024 pageant reached its exciting climax on Saturday, November 16th, with a grand finale at the Palms Convention Centre in Accra.
After weeks of fierce competition, 25-year-old Lucille Naakwaley King emerged victorious, showcasing beauty, talent, and women empowerment.
The dazzling finale began with co-host Bliss King introducing the top 10 contestants, who made a stunning entrance in luxury cars provided by The Dream Collection.
The finalists then had the opportunity to display their poise and personality in a one-on-one conversation with host Regina Van-Helvert. Votes accumulated prior to the event narrowed down the field to the top 5 finalists: Marie, Delphine, Lucille, Cherise, and Whitney.
One highlight of the evening was when the top 5 finalists delivered personal speeches about their role models, emphasizing their achievements and inspiring journeys.
Lucille King chose Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao as her role model, praising her as a strong female Pan-African advocate who empowers women by her actions and words.
The judging panel comprised esteemed figures from entertainment, business, and pageantry, including former Miss Malaika winners and industry professionals, who evaluated the contestants on various criteria such as beauty, intelligence, talent, and potential impact.
The final segment of the night saw the top 5 delegates fielding tough questions from the judges, leading to Lucille Naakwaley King being crowned Miss Malaika Ghana 2024.
The event also featured a talent competition among three finalists, with Lucille impressing the audience with a lively salsa dance routine. Musical performances by Ghanaian artists and dance acts added to the excitement of the evening, highlighting the country’s vibrant music scene and talented women.
In a post-win interview, Lucille expressed her gratitude for the platform to help others, stating her commitment to initiating a project for children with Autism and Down syndrome.
